Unicycing Champion

In November of 1993 I entered the Japan National Unicycing Masters championship and placed 2nd in the Slalom for 20 Years and over. I was very proud of myself because this is indeed a very competitive race in the most competitive category. See the certificate below.

Japan is a world unicycling powerhouse. In fact the National Department of Education lists Unicycing as part of its  grade 4 curriculum.

If you visit an elementary school in Japan you will find an equipment hut with 20 to 40 unicycles. During recess it is common to find children riding around the grounds and participating in “Unicycing Club” as part of its after school activities.
