1922 Ford Model T

Here is a 1922 Ford Model T at the local Esso Station, Hillside Ave and Shelbourne St. in Victoria BC. I just pulled up to get some gas when I saw this car and started to video. The kind owner then explains many things about the car that I did not know.

1. It has no fuel pump: so the gas tank is up under the seat.
2. It has no oil pump: the oil just splashes around the engine.
3. The three peddles are for:1: forward/reverse 2: two speeds (high and low) and 3: brake.
4. The two arms on the steering column are the accelerator on the right of the steering wheel, controlling fuel intake: while the left controls the spark plug firing rate.

It was nice to see such an old car in such good shape.

Alister Woolley

I had a wonderful time with my good friend Alister Woolley when he christened his baby boy James Nicolous at St. Joseph’s soon after Christmas. Ping was wonderfully happy and Etsuko enjoyed herself back at The Farm with many relatives. Al’s father David gave a toast to his grandson and thanked Al and Ping for bring about the wonderful occasion. I was a very nice family gathering.

Tobi and Pixie

Tobi the two-year old toy poodle is on the back of my couch after a long morning walk. Pixie the 3 month old kitten wanted to get to know Tobi a little better. Here they are playing

Here is Tobi and Pixie and Etsuko getting to know each other on the first night of pixies stay. The three month old kitten came to stay with Tobi the 2 year old poodle, Etusko my wife and myself, David. It was three days of fun playfulness as the dog and kitten became friends.

Yes, todays post is about the great weather we are having here in Victoria BC. Sunny and dry, it is a great first day of fall 2009.

Welcome to Fall 2009! Good bye summer! It was great weather all summer, I will miss swimming in Thetis lake.
