Here is a 1922 Ford Model T at the local Esso Station, Hillside Ave and Shelbourne St. in Victoria BC. I just pulled up to get some gas when I saw this car and started to video. The kind owner then explains many things about the car that I did not know.
- It has no fuel pump: so the gas tank is up under the seat.
- It has no oil pump: the oil just splashes around the engine.
- The three peddles are for:1: forward/reverse 2: two speeds (high and low) and 3: brake.
- The two arms on the steering column are the accelerator on the right of the steering wheel, controlling fuel intake: while the left controls the spark plug firing rate.
It was nice to see such an old car in such good shape.
