Here is a video of the house crokinole champion Sota winning the first ever Victoria House tournament. Estuko got second place, and I came in last.
Crokinole is a fun game we like to play.

Here is Tobi as a 5 month old puppy. He always jumped. In the sunshine footage it his first time to be in direct sunlight.
Here is a touching moment for young Mr. Yuichi Hanai. He lived with me in Victoria House for a couple of months in the summer of 2009. He was a Japanese university student who came to Canada to learn English. Yuichi was going to relocate to Toronto and we had a good-bye party for him.
Sota is a friend Yuichi made while here is Victoria and he wrote and sang this song for Yuichi on the back porch of my house.
Here is Sota singing “True Friends”
Is Yuichi crying at the end of the song? I think I see tears . . . We miss you too!
Below is the first video I ever made. I found it in my hard drive yesterday. I used footage I had in my video camera at the time and put on a background sound track of the first song I ever played on my guitar “knocking on heavens door” by Bob Dylan, however this version is sung by Canadian singer Avril Lavine (sp?) and I like it better. I still enjoy playing this song on my guitar, maybe I’ll film myself and put it on my blog.
I had my friend Alister Woolley come visit this summer. He lives in London but we went to University of Victoria together and stayed good friends ever since. We went out to Mathison lake for a swim during his visit. It is a wonderful place. Also around that time I went to the Gorge and say people kayaking. then finally there were lots of float plan activity in the Inner Harbour of Victoria. All very pleasant.
Well, its New Years Day 2010 and we have traditional Japanese mochi for breakfast.
When I come home, I open the front door and walk in my house. What do I see as I enter? My eyes look around the room and they fall upon the little black dog, he stretches and comes and sits down.
